My Story
My story .... I was prescribed a low dose antidepressant approx 4 years ago to address chronic pelvic pain from endometriosis and a misdiagnosis of IC . The combination of PT / yoga and 5 surgeries I decided to stop the nortriptyline cold turkey . Never told that I should of tapered . Within 5 days I was so sick .. Nausea 24/7 headaches chills .. I assumed I had the flu but as the symptoms carried on I made the connection to the antidepressant . It will be two years this February and symptoms continue to persist . They rotate .. Headaches insomnia morning anxiety etc . I had many diagnostic tests to rule out anything more ominous .
I started to read about TMS and I want to believe this may be my problem .. Easier to accept than a protracted withdrawal diagnosis where people claim it can be many years before the brain heals!
I am open but still a bit skeptical .. But I will use this site to learn more from all of you . Thanks for the platform this site provides . I look forward to the day that I am once again healthy and symptom free . - Loading...
