  • My Story

I originally was hosptialised for a slipped disc in 1985 and made a recovery after three months . I resumed all sporting acitivities and other exeercise and lead a normal active life many years . I moved to Spain in 1997 . My main exercise was day walking and eventually did a 7 week hike across SPain . Ihad one o rtwo pain issues over the years and took various medications such as glucosamine , condroitin , aloe vera to protect joints froom what I htought might be arthritis . The 2 years ago I got a sciatica in a my right leg following a strenuous days walk of 50 kilometres . It was serious enough to warrant medical treatment , which included Xray MRI and PT , an operation was consdered with the diagnosis of 2 slipped discs L5and 6 . I also tried some oestopathic treatment . PT and latter seemed to offer some relief but temporary . The I was wlaking with a new walking friend he noticed I was limping and suggested Sarnos book , This was end March 2015 and I immediately read it coverto cover recoginising TMS symptoms in my case history , It is now just over aweek I have reread and made some rough notes , had an immeditae amelioration os symptoms but now things have stalled somewhat as I need to move to my subconsious to get that moving away from giving me pain symptoms . I am hopeful at this stage that things will improve . I am convinced that continuing to exercise is no tharmful . Iam coming off the antinflammatories , but need to work on my subconsious

The trip in Spain sounds wonderful. It is amazing how our unconscious mind works. Great that you are finding help through this.
