Wanting to go to the gym but im scared.

    I have been hearing that weightlifting is a stressor for the body. I have been feeling exhausted mentally and have high cortisol level (am blood test) and while I would like to go to the gym I'm scared that I might make things worst.

    The thing is, a lot of the times I go to the gym afterwards I would feel super tired especially mentally.

    advice?

    If you want to go to the gym - do it. You don't have to break any records..... just do as much as feels ok - and see how you feel afterwards....
    If it stresses you do less next time - if it energises you - do more....
    Maybe go out in nature too....

    Or slowly work up to the gym. Walk and move without fear. Sarno mentions taking time and slowly working up to your preferred routine. Gyms and movement reduce stress for some, for me they increase because I dislike them. I used to go thinking I HAD to, not because I enjoyed it.
