Newcomer, Male, 36, from Las Vegas

I've had medical issues which seem to arise when under extreme duress. Personality traits that match Dr. Sarno's typical "TMS" candidate. Sep 2, 2017

  • My Story

    In 2014 my father was diagnosed with cancer. I have always had an extremely strong relationship with him. The stress and pressure of dealing with his sickness, put my body under extreme duress. I clotted three times in my sub-clavian vein. Saw many specialists and no one could accurately diagnose me, I was a medical mystery to even the best specialists. I underwent surgery to correct the issue. Shortly after surgery I developed extreme pain in my neck, upper back, traps, arms. I was diagnosed w/ a cervical herniation c3-c4 level.
    My father was sick for approximately 1.5 years, and fully recovered. When he recovered, so did I. It wasn't until I read Dr. Sarno's "Mindbody prescription" that I began to realize the connection. My pain has returned, but for now other reasons, and in the same areas, not as intense as before. Looking for some insight and guidance. Thanks to you all for putting this wonderful site together.

    Diagnoses:
    * Re-occuring blood clots in only my R. Subclavian vein
    * c3-c4 disc herniation

    I had a corrective surgery in which they removed a portion of my first rib and my anterior scalene to relieve pressure in the area that was causing blood clots (wonder if it was necessary). I also underwent a cervical fusion to correct a herniation in my c3-c4 (also wonder if that was necessary).
