How My Brain Is Affecting My Body (TMS & Liver Results!)

It’s honestly amazing how TMS/central sensitization (CS) can affect the body. My recent liver results showed elevated ALT, and at first I thought it was the CBD I was taking. But even after stopping CBD, the ALT is still high. Historically, prior to TMS/CS, my liver has been functioning perfectly fine!

AI analysis suggests this is actually related to CS — the brain’s fear circuits in the limbic system are driving a chain reaction:

    1. Chronic stress/fear → limbic system overdrive

    2. Limbic dysfunction → central sensitization

    3. CS → low-level systemic inflammation

    4. Inflammation → liver stress (high ALT)
It really shows how the brain can create real, measurable changes in the body, not just pain or fatigue. Seeing TMS reflected in my bloodwork is wild!

Stress/Fear → Limbic System → Central Sensitization → Inflammation → Liver stress (high ALT)

Has anyone experienced similar? This mind dysfunction is causing measurable physiological changes. The mind is not seeing reality for what it is, it's picking up non-threatening signals and amplifying them (through fear) to extreme proportions. This amplification is making the mind believe that I am in extreme danger. It actually believes it's protecting me but this is based on misinformation. This misperception (malfunction) by the brain is stressing my body and it's breaking my heart. My body is actually okay, it's the actions of the brain that are the cause of all my "ills" and this realisation brings tears to my eyes as my body is the innocent in all of this.

    Mike,
This is Sarno 101. Are you really still just soaking all this information in, or are you distracting yourself? Yes, all of the above. I personally believe your TMS brain is hijacking you. And it’s got you good. You’re focused on your BODY, not your EMOTIONS. And that’s exactly what it wants you to

To piggyback off of @Diana-M -what are you feeling right now? What emotion can you identify with? Or can you identify with an emotion at all? I am the queen of emotional repression and this is still hard for me to identify. I'm asking you this so you to can see where you stand on emotions. You are a thinker-just like most of us! I finally had to stop reading anymore books or researching anything. I just allow myself to focus on journaling and being active on this forum right now.

But that’s just it, Diana. It’s not so much about my body as it is about my relationship with my limbic brain. The post was meant to highlight my emotion of anger that the mind (brain) is hurting my body. I’m witnessing the impact of the daily stress the mind is directing on the body and that makes me sad. It is my body which I wish to protect and love as I have a duty of care for it. This isn’t about the physiological. The physiological is just the effect of the cause which is mental.

Understanding the physical mechanism allows me, as the witness, to hold the Mind into account. So, when I say the body is okay in my affirmations I mean it because I know that the body is fine it is just fighting for survival because of the actions of the mind. It’s holding the mind to account for what’s happening in the body. So when my mind victimises itself and blames the body I just show the mind the above and reply “no, the body is fine, it’s your actions that are causing stress on the body”. That gives me clarity and help me reduce the fear ie my body is okay, nothing to be fearful of. At the end of the day the biggest enemy in all this is fear
