Question about symptoms

I posted this in the structured course folder, but I thought I would post here as well....I am interested in all advice. I am obviously early on in the process of working through my issues, but I am curious on what people do when their symptoms arise during the day or come on strong? Am I suppose to breathe through the symptoms? Try to ignore them? Accept them?

In my case, my most pervasive symptoms are right elbow pin, forearm tightness and hand tingling in both hands...it seems to come and go at will and does not seem to come after an emotional thought. The elbow pain is sharp, and the forearm pain almost makes it feel weak.

I often find myself falling into the trap of assessing them and their current severity or potential for severity throughout the day? This in turn takes me down an anxiety and self doubt spiral.

thanks for any advice. I hope as I become more knowledgeable I will be able to handle these symptoms better.
