My Story
I was injured in April of 2019. In the past I had a back injury (herniated disk L5) in 2006 which only kept me sidelined 2 days. It acted up from time to time, but never kept me out of action more than a day or two. I injured my back on the job in April of 2019 and found I had an annular tear now at the same level. Fairly early into physical therapy I began to have pain in my left butt and my left hip. My foot would rotate outward and it was quite painful. I have seen countless surgeons, physiatrists, chiropractors and physical therapists. Thank god all the surgeons told me surgery was not warranted because I certainly would have gone for it to get me back on my feet. It's now late October and I have back spasms and pain from time to time, my hip and iliac crest area hurt constantly, but I'm trying to move forward. I read Dr Sarno's Mind Over Back Pain which got me here. Still having a hard time accepting that my back and hip pain are not structural and are coming from my mind. - Loading...
