I am quite excited to work with Dr. Sarno's recommendations. I don't have back pain but have been dealing with other areas of pain since about 2007, first sore knees, then feet and now into the wrists, so much so that I can sometimes hardly hold a cup of coffee. Some diagnosis has been of the fibromyalgia school but others are telling me I have arthritis. I'm not convinced and have done many, many things to work at getting rid of the inherent inflammation. Nothing has worked but I refuse to take methotrexate. I have tried everything I can think of to reduce the inflammation. I don't eat gluten, I have eliminated many foods, done many therapies all to no avail. I do not believe it is diet related. I do believe it has to do with the emotions. So.... I'm going to journal and write as per the program. It makes sense to me, all the things we repress as we grow up. I have some of the traits, for sure. And then some :)
