  • My Story

I had brain cancer 9 years ago and have fully recovered but I think the anxiety of all that I went through was repressed as a way to cope and now it is showing up in my body as pain. I'm fully convinced this is TMS because the intensity and location changes around. I am a psychotherapist and of course help everyone else with emotional issues but have resisted "going there" to those painful places. I am a runner and was running just months ago, after I read Sarno's book, then I got foot pain, then low back that has turned into very painful glute pain. Sometime it is almost unbearable then it will just go away for several hours. I'm very hard on myself, even with this issue, I think I should be able to figure this out after all this is my life's work psychotherapy. But now I say Uncle, I give! I need to try something different. I just completed a big project that was 3 years in the works. It has the potential to take my career to a new level and maybe I'm afraid of what's ahead. I don't know but I am so thankful for this forum and all of your stories and most of all the support of others on the journey.
    Blessings to you all
