My Story
Hi all. In another lifetime, I was a computer programmer, and started suffering wrist pain. Extensively worked up, everything came back negative (good news/bad news). I was virtually debilitated outside of work and water skiing for 7 years. I limped through life. It was awful.
Stumbled across the TMS theory. Joined the other forum, read all the books, ordered Dr. Schechter's CD, etc. Got better enough to limp a little faster through life, and not be completely obsessed all of the time.
Then had a relapse after starting a new job. Called Dr. Sarno's office (this was 13 years ago) to try to order tapes. Talked to somebody named Ken who asked me my story, after telling him, he said "Your subconscious is having a party at your expense!"
I'll tell you, at the moment, it was like somebody flipped a switch. I felt my wrists tingling (healing) which they continued to do for 3 days, and then, I never looked back! I feel it was all of the work I did leading up to it, and his comment was the straw that broke the camels back.
Now I'm back, with debilitating Knee/hip pain. *Sigh* Frankly, it had been so long, it took me years to consider TMS as the cause. - Loading...
