My Story
I had two very rough bouts of sciatica and back pain in 2016 and 2019 -- I was hunched over because it was too painful to stand up straight.
I followed Sarno's philosophy or rewiring my brain and "acting as if" and even though it was the worse pain imaginable, I came through.
My pain was clearly connected to the births of my sons and followed my wife's pregnancies.
However, when things get very stressful i'll notice that old pain start to creep back and I have to tell my brain to back the f- off.
I also experienced other TMS symptoms -- including unexplained knee pain and i believe even sties on my eyes. I connected them to TMS because they tend to bubble up when there's stressful stuff going on.
Anyway -- if you're in the thick of it, keep telling yourself that "this too shall pass" hell, that's how i got through the pandemic.
I'm so proud to say i'm a success story. Especially so many other people in my life are getting unnecessary back surgeries. I proposed Sarno to all of them, but you need to be receptive to his methods or they won't work.
Thank you, Dr. Sarno, thank you to all of the people on this forum who posted and shared their stories. The mind is capable of so much -- both good and bad -- so hang in there and stay strong. - Loading...
