  • My Story

My 10 year old autistic son was diagnosed with CVS when he was 5 years old. He has episodes 2 to 3 times a month lasting 1-3 days, and during the episodes he gets extremely violent. When he was younger, we were able to restrain him pretty easily, but, as he has gotten older, the violence has become worse and he is really causing harm to himself and anyone that gets near him. I have suffered physical harm, as well as his father, and his siblings. He has also caused alot of self harm to himself. He has extremely vulgar language during his episodes as well. I dont know if its from all of the vomiting, lack of sleep, possible dehydration, maybe being delusional, but, I came on here to see if anyone else personally or knows anyone that experiences the same symptoms during episodes, and if so, what was done to help. Im really desperate and need help. Things are getting worse as he gets older.
