I guess I've always carried tension in my back. I always remember my back feeling tight. In October of 2012 I got shin splints from excessive running. The pain never went away and I started going to see all kinds of doctors. Somewhere back pain started. It used to be on my left and after doing some crazy physical therapy exercises it shifted to my right and has been there since.

In April of 2015 someone introduced me to TMS and the books by Dr. Sarno. I gave it a brief try and was quickly discouraged. I went back to several doctors, but again I could not get a clear reason for the pain. I decided to really give the TMS structured program a try. As I write this I am in day 11.

I am trying to really focus on the program, but for me I think it will take some work and the fear of pain is one of the main things holding me back. I am going to start keeping a log of my progress and try to slowly increase the amount of time I do things like exercise, sit etc. to build my confidence.
