A video Dr. Brad Fanestil posted yesterday. At around 3 min:

"The conscious mind process about 40 bits of information per second. The subconscious mind process 11 million."

Dr. Brad Fanestil is very good! So reassuring, no bull, straight forward.

 

The conscious mind handles less information because it works slowly and deliberately.
It’s designed for deep thinking, decision-making, and reasoning — things that require focus and analysis.

The subconscious mind, on the other hand, is like a high-speed automatic system. It runs patterns, habits, emotions, and body functions without analysis — so it can process huge amounts of sensory data very quickly.

Because deep thinking takes more time and energy, the conscious mind can only process a tiny fraction of what the subconscious handles automatically.

Looking back over my life my subconscious mind has caused my conscious mind nothing but suffering.
