    Yikes!
I've been suffering with slight acid reflux recently and extreme shortness of breath. I thought they were perhaps mutually exclusive but I've read that they are common together.
The acid reflux I had years ago realized it was TMS and it went away, Now 6 years later, it seems to be back!
And the shortness of breath has come along for the ride, something I've delt with off-and-on since childhood, always considered it anxiety related, but perhaps it is part and parcel of acid reflux.
I've been going through a lot of deep emotions since coming to terms with limerence and fantasy escapism as yet another form of pernicious TMS.
I am a long-time TMS warrior and still dealing with a host of TMS issues. It's a process, but feeling a wee bit of a setback recently...

Hey @fridaynotes. I tell ya, times are tough, my friend.
Remember that roundup of articles about breathing/breathwork that I posted a while ago? Maybe revisit the list and pick out a couple to explore. You'll find it in your postings history (you had commented), or here: https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/can-better-breathing-really-improve-your-health-spoiler-yes.27931/#post-144717 (Can Better Breathing Really Improve Your Health? (spoiler: YES))

How's your writing practice? That's my fallback for setbacks ;)

I've come to this same conclusion myself lately. Limerence is just another form of TMS. It's the same obsessive and maladaptive coping mechanism, except the object of one's obsession is a person rather than an "injury" or "illness," and the "pain" is longing and pining.

I had shortness of breath too. U r too tense and in a fight or flight state. Need to find ways to calm and relax yourself such as meditation or swimming etc. Then digestion and breathing will regulate themselves
