BRIEF VIDEO OF DR. SARNO EXPLAINING TMS HEALING

Below is an excellent short video interview with Dr. Sarno when he was 84 years old (he is in his early 90s now) in which he explains TMS and how it helps people heal from pain. The brain causes us to be in pain by reducing oxygen or blood to a part of the body when we repress an emotion that has caused us anger or age. When we discover that emotion, the brain stops the pain.

A woman who had sciatica pain in her back and legs for 35 years is also interviewed and she tells how just from reading the first 30 pages of Dr. Sarno's book Healing Back Pain she realized that her sciatica was from TMS. She had earlier had lots of medical treatment for her pain but it never freed her of it. She became healed through learning about and believing in TMS, but was not free of her pain immediately. She attended Sarno group sessions and underwent psychotherapy, but then did become pain-free. She said she realized that her perfectionist personality was causing her sciatica.

Dr. Sarno was asked in the 4 and a half minute interview, below YouTube, what the medical profession thought of his theory that emotional tension causes pain, and he said they largely do not believe it, despite his many patient success stories.

I related to this video because just yesterday a friend said his boss, the CEO of a large book publishing company, was unable to hold a phone call meeting with him because he said he had a bad case of sciatica and would be at his doctor's for another visit about treating his back and leg pain that has gone on for years. The CEO most likely is under a lot of stress, perhaps from his work, his private life, other anxieties.

Too bad the CEO does not know about TMS or he could heal without more medication or other treatment. Too bad, too, that his doctor doesn't know about or believe in TMS.
