I'm scared of ghosts. I watched a lot of TV in the military before, and there was a section where ghosts talked. Which one It's not fun, and it doesn't feel real, but most of the stories that are realistic start with ghosts whispering in their ears and sleep. When I sleep, my ears ache.
I'm scared of the future. I think I'm the scariest living by making the same mistakes I made.
I'm scared my symptoms will go back. I think I'm feeling a little better now, but will it be ruined by the reality I'm going through .It's scary.

I don’t watch scary movies or read the likes of Stephen King for the same reason.

Have you thought about the experiential effects of this on your life?

Real-time fears run like the movie reels of old and will do so until SNAP! there is a tear in the actual film. As humans, most of us are conditioned by our experiences as well as what we consciously bring into our own psyches - such as ghost movies that scare us.

I think you’ve done a masterful job of describing a connection between the abstract and the manifestation of these fears into your actual life. Can you see how your mind works?

In this case, what you’ve described has contributed (there is likely much more) to tricking you into a fearful way of being. Our minds are really that powerful!

As we learn about ourselves and identify our fears, my example of the SNAP! in the film of the old movie reel is what happens when we begin to realize that our unconscious minds are directing our personal movie!

I think for most of us here, given the tools of Sarno, SEP, etc, we can change our fearful thinking. My experience to date (since 2017 when first discovering Sarno) supports this statement.

Don’t allow your future to scare you. Remember who said, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Thank you for being so raw and honest. You took a brave step!
