Can anyone relate to this?

I'm sure people can. It's about feeling so overwhelmed by job/financial/life etc. that you can't concentrate or focus enough to do anything and that just increases the sense of overwhelm, new pains arise and you feel as if you're going crazy?

Sure, when people get overwhelmed and the few free moments they have are usually occupied by brain numbing activity like browsing aimlessly on internet, show watching, social media etc. It is hard to concentrate on the hard emotional work. Just exhausting. Grief, anger, fear, regret, etc. sorry the brains don't wanna deal with that and just want to check out like catatonic zombies. And the algorithms these days catch that too and accelerate and magnify these distractions and make it even harder for the brains to connect to the unconscious feelings. Sometimes I wonder if it is a conspiracy theory... That the billionaire ruling class knows about this and the more average people suffer the more easier to control and enslave them ...

Yes, yes! It is extremely hard not to feel you’re going crazy. I think any zen-related activity helps. Meditation. Time in nature. It quiets your nervous system. It seems everyone who gets anywhere with getting rid of TMS is tapped into some sort of soothing psychological behavior. If you have any spiritual beliefs, now is a good time to pour it on. My faith has grown so much with this TMS episode. (I’m a Christian.) More than any other time in my life, I’ve been forced to “let go and let God.” Just dumping all my fears and worries on Him, and trusting things will work out. If you have any spiritual beliefs—that can help a lot.

Yes, I understand. Go out in nature and spend some time there. I went this morning to a lake/forest/lots of green trees. I went there with my husband and we just sat and listened. Approx 45 minutes of soaking in that silence. I like to knit on the bench but this time I sat like an amoeba. No thinking, no doing...just being in a sort of vegetative state.

It was wonderful, more helpful than a pill or other treatment. I'm serious here. People were fishing on the lake, children were playing with the dogs, birds were singing and so on ... so it was not deep silence but for me...it was a mental treatment.

    Mother Nature is so soothing...

On the other hand, I'm going to start an exercise routine lifting weights. I'm in a sad bad shape physically. And I used to be a gymnast in great shape. Only in the last few years since Corona I got gradually more and more sedentary. Of course the pain increased. I have to push myself to do this type of exercise. I started many times and after once a week (one session/week) I gave up. I like to walk outside but I need a more serious type of physical activity.

I'm 55 and I'll be 60 in a few years and I don't want to be stiff and in pain, I detest feeling less than optimal. It stresses me out.

I think you can start some form of exercise and you'll certainly benefit from it. Mentally I mean. And physically as well. It's a stress reliever for sure. The hard thing is to start. I know...I'm rather lazy, I admit it. But I always feel better after my workouts. I never regretted working out. Never.

    Take care.

Yes a thousand times yes! I love to go barefoot on the cool grass to ground myself when there’s inner turmoil going on… good stuff. Great advice.
