Checking in 6 months later: things are still great

    In most online forums, the people who get their issue resolved leave because they no longer have the problem.

    Given this, I thought I'd check back in hopes that it offers some positivity to those still struggling. This program (and the wonderful people I've referenced in my previous post) have really turned my life around. I still have some pains, but I just "don't care" about it (this is quite hard to explain, but this is what the Structured Education Program gave me).

    Most importantly, my functionality and ability to move in the world just gets better and better.

    I've been able to work out again, I've been able to lift weights. I walk for 45 minutes almost daily and I've regained muscle mass from being in the gym. All of that is nice, but the big thing for me has been being able to get around and be on my feet without issue. And use computers without problems. I have zero anxiety about my body's ability to navigate the world, which I never thought I'd have again.

    So anyway, if you are new here and doubting it (like I was, just see my post history), stick with it. Good things will happen.

    Wishing you luck,
    Edgerton

    @Edgerton !
    Thank you so much for coming back and giving us a peptalk! it’s absolutely wonderful to hear how well you’re doing! it’s also nice to hear that the structured educational program helped you so much. I’ve been on here a year and I finally just started doing it. Thanks again for coming back and please don’t be a stranger!

    This is so awesome for you to take the time to do this. One of the major downsides in another group I'm in is that it recently moved to a subscription model, and those who had already recovered didn't have much incentive to pay to stick around, so we lost some of this there.
