This is my second time trying the SEP - unfortunately I gave up after a few days the last time. At the time, I thought that I could just try to ignore my problems, but clearly this is not the answer. I'm starting to recognise the extent of my overall anxiety and so I'm making more of an effort to try to reduce it.

I have a long post history here around joint pain in my right thumb, which has recently spread to my left as well. Although pain and cracks/pops always cause me to doubt in the TMS diagnosis, it's really the only thing that makes sense at this point. I believe that most of my problems resolve around tightness, as doctors/scans can't find anything wrong other than being hypermobile (which doesn't seem to affect many other people, certainly not to this extent).

I've always been an extremely anxious person, and have always felt that I'm in a constant state of stress/worry, even before I developed pain. I'm hopeful that a serious attempt with the SEP will allow me to reduce my anxiety around my symptoms.

Don’t beat yourself up about stopping the work and coming back to it, or taking breaks in between. I find that this work isn’t a one and done thing.

I have popping in my hip joint. It was a trigger for me. I no longer have pain, but the cracking remains. I don't fear it. But I did think that there was something wrong for sure because of it.

You got this. Take it slow, don't obsess over being perfect about it and dedicating hours to TMS every day because that signals your brain that hey maybe something IS truly wrong with me. But don't procrastinate it either... the TMS wants that. Good luck, you got this.
