First I want to mention as I just journaled during a nerve pain flare up I noticed by the end of my entry the flare up was over. Glad to find some evidence this is TMS.

When was the last time you exercised or did another physical activity? What was this activity? How did it make you feel physically and emotionally? If it has been a while since you last exercised, why?
I do yoga every Wednesday evening and swam earlier today with my children. I walk regularly. I have done weight lifting as I healed postpartum but have not in months because I am doing somatic exercises which recommend you don't do strenuous activities during them. I have been of the mindset of continuing to do activities as best I can because once I give them up, I would feel I have lost a huge battle. Which seems to be the best path forward, continuing to engage in activities. I have not hiked since my dog passed in 2020 though. I always thought it was bc I had kids but now I think that may be my excuse and I am just still sad I don't have that bond anymore. He was my dog through my twenties and was with me through so much including bad break ups, a move to a new city 6 hours away from home, my wedding, and everything in between but passed bc of what I believe was cancer in his neck. I did so much to extend his life but could not save him which I always logically knew but it showed up as yet another failure of mine.

There's something about the bond we have with our animals that is like nothing else, along with the lessons that their short sweet lives teach us about love and loss, mortality and even abandonment.

Nice insights, @Cburger214. Also, welcome to the forum!
