The last time I did any physical activity was about a year and a half ago. I used to jog a lot. It used to make me feel really good and it helped me relieve a lot of inner tension I had. It gave me piece of mind and feel physically healthy and mentally sound. That's also when all my leg pain and weakness began. I haven't jogged since because my leg feels like it's going to give or collapse when I over stress it. I've been walking as much as I can and hope to jog again one day. I also used to lift weights. Unfortunately my nerve pain in my arms has taken me away from that as well. The more I try to use my arms the worse the pain gets. I will not let any of this hold me down. I will prevail and return to be twice as strong!

Hi, Mquest. I love your positive attitude... that you keep walking despite any pain and believing that you are going to heal and be stronger than ever. I'm 86 and walk as much as I can, but I miss the long walks I used to take with my dogs.

There are some good exercise videos on Youtube for seniors. You might try them, even if you're younger. Some are for sitting, some for standing.
