15 minutes minimum in the morning to set my intentions to rewire my neurons.

“There has to be something going on in my body that’s causing this.”
And when the brain believes that the body is damaged, it responds with pain.
But when you can embrace a different belief—that the pain is due to your brain making a mistake and that your body is fine—then the fear goes away. And soon after, the pain fades”

The book suggestion today is to look for/have an evidence list for why my pain is neuropathic:

    1. can’t be my meniscus nor a meniscus tear because tears heal
    2. my X-ray is really really great when I view it
    3. The symptoms can be are random
these ones feel good to see

    ————-

    4. I had pain free great knee day more than once after exercise
    5. I believe the pathway is hyperaroused and inaccurate
    6. I am NOT causing more injury, I am actually HELPING IT

“Have medical treatments been ineffective or just given you temporary relief?
    YES YES AND YES!
(strengthen your glutes, strengthen your hamstrings, tighten your core, do this weird strap thing in a pyramid, physiotherapy x5, diligent physio, record symptoms and triggers, chronic pain peer support, chiropractic, massage, tens machines, red light therapy). uhoh mounting frustration and fear…self blame!!!! Oh honey, hello, it’s okay, I got you! We can change this mindset too. Probably the most precious gift we could give..
Did the pain come on during a stressful time in your life? A stressful moment absolutely

Do you have (or have you had) symptoms in multiple parts of your body? MAYBE

Is your pain inconsistent in terms of where and when it appears and how severe it is?YES YES AND YES

Do you think about the pain often or all the time? Does it worry you throughout the day” YES AND YES

So my intention is to focus on the evidence that the X-rays are awesome (I am an X-ray tech and so this makes sense to me), my “pain” changes all the time it’s very very inconsistent, my tear healed long long ago.

    Hurray!
