Experiences with treating MBS induced low libido?

My libido steadily decreased from ages 18 to 23 or 24 and then plateaued at a pretty low baseline. I can still feel horny and still somewhat enjoy sex, but my sensitivity is maybe 20-30% of what it was when I was a teenager. I had bad IBS for much of that time but it went away after I started doing keto. I also have had tight pelvic floor muscles, but embodiment/reading about MBS have helped with them a decent amount and they're 66% fine compared to how they used to be.

I've had manometries done that show that my rectal / urinary muscles are too sensitive but there's not something noticeably structurally wrong with them so it just seems like standard MBS. I've also had sexual health tests done like a doppler and they haven't found anything wrong either. I have a long history of disliking having a libido and only recently have come to terms with it being something I need to get along with better. There's still a lot of shame around it though and it seems pretty likely that there's a connection there. I also generally hate not being in control and dislike my libido having power over me.

Has anyone dealt with similar interests/found solutions?

Well, when I see I post like this with no responses to this particular (and quite common) question, I feel obliged to say something - even though, based on my gender and age, the specific symptoms behind the question are certainly not within my area of expertise.

The thing about "Has anyone dealt with..." is that it is frequently asked regarding MANY different types of conditions with no apparent cause - but it effectively shuts out anyone who has NOT dealt with the specific symptoms. This is unfortunate, given the universal nature of mind-body syndromes, in which the details of physical symptoms are, ultimately, 100% irrelevant.

Fortunately, it's easy to find out that this is a trick being played on you by your fearful brain, cleverly designed for the purpose of limiting your ability to find a mind-based solution. All you have to do is to be mindful of this tendency, and reject it in favor of healthy self-examination.

Here's one way to open up responses: you vaguely mentioned an awareness of MBS, but you did not offer any substantive context. You will probably generate some relevant responses if you can be more specific about your knowledge of MBS, whether you are aware of the work of Dr John Sarno (the inspiration for the TMS wiki and forum), whether you have read other books or done any programs focused on the concept of emotional repression/conflict, or what kind of emotionally-based practices you engage in.

Hi and welcome! Can you post again with how you're thinking this is TMS, or related to that?

Respectfully, your post could fit well on a medical forum--it's solely about medical symptoms and your specific history--stuff that we can't resolve. If there's a potential TMS component, that's where we can relate/respond/share experiences and potential ways forward. TMS can show up in all different ways. With TMS, the physical symptoms are not as important as the underlying stuff--the psychological--that is underneath all of it.

Sure, that can show up as TMS. It's just that when it's all physical symptoms....well, I'm just asking for the TMS part.

    True...

Although some people are so unaware of the way their behavior is causing all of this. I mean I used to be one of these folks, I didnt even ignore the pain so much, i just didnt even feel it anymore. When youre that unaware of your needs, its pretty easy to get caught up with symptoms. I'd say its a good start.

Just do the SEP mate. Get some books and try it out for yourself. Dont give up immediately. Your first response to the questions might be: I'm never mad never sad so no theres no problem. This is understandable but not the proper way to go about it. The idea is to look for emotions and feelings you have not yet yourself found a way to express.

I'd refer you to the more tms knowledgeable folks here for that but ill be here for questions as well
