Anyone struggled with and saw definite results? How long did it take until completely went away?
I was told it might take longer then the regular back, neck, muscle pain etc

*raises hand * buzzing in legs, hands. When it sparks up it feels like a cell phone is going off in my body. Muscle twitches. Tingling. My chin was tingling yesterday . When I really believe this is tms it goes away, and another symptom pops up lol . This crap is exhausting . I've had MRI and nerve studies . Do that and then do the work . Our brains are sneaky lil buttheads

In addition to more obvious TMS symtpoms all my life (coming up on 73 years) I've always had very minor but nonetheless weird-ass tingling, buzzing, twitching, numbness, you-name-it off and on all my life. Some of them come back to familiar spots, some are one-offs and don't occur again. I have this weird buzzing in my right groin/lower pelvis that comes and goes and can last for a few hours if I'm lying down and notice it. And I've had numbness around my nose/lips/cheeks that doesn't last long, even though I ALWAYS have an immediate thought of stroke - but my rational mind steps and in says "well, probably not, so let's not panic yet". LOL. I'm usually clenching my jaw or pursing my lips, so I have to do a little mindful relaxation and it goes away without me noticing.

Fortunately, I was raised by parents who didn't freak out at this kind of thing - or at a lot of things - even though I'm 100% sure that my mother "gave" me anxiety in the womb due to the circumstances of her preganancy. But that's a whole other facet of my TMS story... It does explain why my TMS symptoms were fairly minor until I hit 60 and "the rage of age" triggered a cavalcade of symptoms - starting me on my TMS journey which is still a work in progress and a joy to experience.

Completely is a really perfectionist goal. How about something more manageable, that takes away a lot of the stress and self-pressure to stop feeling normal and natural sensations?
Reminding ourselves that our bodies are living, breathing things that feel sensations that we like and maybe don't like but are absolutely normal. The difference is how much we pay attention to those things, how much we let them bother us and take all our attention, worry and stress.
How long it takes for you to stop noticing and being hyper vigilant to the symptoms depends on your anxiety levels and your nervous system. If you are generating a lot of internal stress and anxiety, then it might take longer because you'll need to tackle the stress and anxiety too, by learning self-regulation.
It can take some time, but the best news is that TMS is completely harmless so you can go on living your life while you learn to soften towards things that make you uncomfortable like physical sensations, thoughts and emotions.

I have had so many TMS symptoms on and off for years. But as I came out of the pandemic the buzzing you describe started. At first I was freaked, which of course never helps. I have noticed it creeps up as anxiety escalates. Meditation helps to calm it. For some reason I have become less afraid of it. And it has really stopped coming around as much. I think of it as a form of nervous shivering. Shivering never really hurt anybody. It’s just my body talking. Now: if I could only feel as relaxed about my weak and numb legs!
