After a year of TMS work, things are getting smoother —much much smoother. Less inner pressure. Less OCD. Less pressure to perform. Less pressure to do what I don’t want to do. Less conflict. Less torment. Less confusion. Less pain. Less terror.

More knowing how, and when to say, “no.” More peace. More joy. More silence. More beauty. More time for me. More hope. More rest. More music. More laughter.

Less guilt. Less struggle. Less planning. Less anticipating tragedy at every turn. Less focus on world events and the news.

More focus on the sky. Less focus on what I think other people think of me. More focus on clearing my mind. Less focus on needing something to give me value.

More focus on how unique and worthy I am to be part of this beautiful world. Less focus on my body. More focus on love of myself. Less time spent with people who are mean to me. More time spent with people who make me happy. Less “shoulds.” More of what I want.

Less analysis of the past. More good deep breaths —in the present. More meditation. Less worry about when I’ll be free of TMS. More believing I already am.

Less night terrors. More good deep sleep. Less dread of the future. More excitement for what lies ahead. Less thinking I’m old. More believing I’m young.

Much much more love of myself. Less inner nagging. More “I don’t care.” Less holding onto anger. More forgiveness. More believing I’ll be OK no matter what. Less depression. More pure happiness.

Less sadness. More faith. Less planning for the future. More waiting to see what happens.

Less expected of myself. More approval of myself. Less waking up each morning to dread and anxiety. More waking up excited to be alive.

Much much more of all good things. Less fear of pain. More determination to fight through it. More believing life is good. More believing it will always be good.

Do I still have TMS? Oh, yes. Do I still have difficult people (family) in my life and difficult circumstances? Oh yes, and I don’t foresee this changing. But, I do foresee discovering even more ways to weather these and every storm.

TMS is not a jail. You can dig your way out, a little at a time.

BTW, I asked Diana if I could move this to the Success Stories subforum because I believe that Success embraces many definitions!

    Hi Diana and the others,
For me, 6 years of TMS and I opened my eyes and started work at the same time as you 1 year ago.
Everything you’ve written speaks to me, and that’s what I’m trying to put into practice. You described very well what to do and especially what not to do.
8 out of 16 is not bad, I am 14 out of 16.
In 1 year I understood but I have not made any physical progress (well if I haven’t used my wheelchair since and I lie down from time to time), but the pain/ sensations continue and increase. Alarm/ Alarm, you are in danger tells me my subconscious and our job is to have a conscious presence that says everything is OK at our end of primitive fearful brains.
You’ll get it..., I’ll get it after you...
Do not let go of anything, you are like me, you have read the books, you have examined the forum TMS, you have all the weapons and especially time.
Here to finish, I would recommend the book of ECKHART TOLLE - The power of the present moment. It is not directly based on our pain problems, but it indicates the spiritual path to a better life.
Small parenthesis, to say that I write these words while being drunk, otherwise I could not have written. 6 years that I see that all my pains are erased with 2-3 glass of whiskey, and I do not even know if the alcohol prevents the transmission of pain signals or is it the mood?... no scientific research, obviously there are no drugs for sale...
To finish, message to our "Beloved Great Eagle " (I am French, I do not know what it gives in translation) JanAtheCPA, continues in your advice, personally I do not think that remembering our worries 10-30 years ago is the key (if one has not had big problems for me) and rehash the past is not constructive (for me). But otherwise you are perfect, thank you for being on this forum.
To re-re-finish (I’m in freestyle), Diana do you want to marry me? ;)

    @kazed
Thanks for making me smile. Merci beaucoup!
I would be MORE than happy if anything I learned or wrote here helped even one soul get rid of one symptom! Sometimes I feel stupid for sharing so much. But I feel passionate about everyone who is stuck in terror and pain getting out of it! I hope all of us do.

Yes! You will feel better one day. As long as you don’t give up. All of us can, and will. All of my progress is attributed to the support and advice I’ve been given here. (And, of course trying to do what’s advised.) it’s really import to have examples to follow!

Thanks for the Elkhart Tolle suggestion. I read that book once years ago. I’ll pick it up again.
