Well i understand the conditioning part in the TMS symptoms, especially with physical activities. But i think when we stopped doing almost everything due to pain our muscles will get weaker than before right? Now i started to get back on track with my normal activities and I'm doing well so far, but when i do something a little hard like holding something for a long period of time, or using my fingers to push something that needs extra effort, is it normal to have that intense pain and numbness or shaking? Or is it a part of the conditioning? I'm trying to think emotionally not physically but this part of pain related to some activities i don't how to react to it actually, and while I'm writing this i remembered when i started to return to my normal activities like simple things "holding a full teapot" At first it was pain then pain and numbness and then just shaking like i did a lot of work with my hand.

That depends on how long you believed there was something wrong with you. I believed in the 'old template' for about 2 years, so it took a month to get back to normal and I still caught a few demons lurking down the road. A lot of things , like picking up my kids, and doing chores I went right back to...it took me about 4 weeks to get back to full activity.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah you are right i still have these subtle believes that maybe something wrong with my figers even i know for sure there in no damage there, and also my mind sometimes bring this idea of "your hands are just so weak it's hard to be strong again". Thank you for your reply it reminds me of this as you said" Demons lurking down the road " , this is tricky and actually challenging.

Every time I catch one of those, I turn it into a mantra....Sarno called it 'talking to your head'.

If I had thought what you said and caught it, I'd say OUT LOUD, "There is Nothing wrong with me, I am strong and healthy".
Then I would grab that full Tea Pot and hold it as long as I could....and IF it starts being uncomfortable Forcefully think about Things I am angry about...and if I don't know any, then Hold the Teapot and Imagine what Might be making me angry that I am not yet aware of...that is the 'Therapy' that banishes the pain. Yes. It Might hurt, but you are telling your unconscious that you know what it is trying to do and you are no longer accepting the situation. Keep doing it... One day you will notice that you have grabbed the teapot and it isn't even something to think about....and you will laugh out loud for joy.

Remember "mindbody" refers to both as a single unity. If you try to single out the culprit for the symptoms, you'll inevitably end up giving too much attention to the symptom itself, and never getting a satisfying answer since both mind and body are not inseparable.

Dan Ratner explains this well here:
