If You have a Skeptical Mind Like Me

    Hi to all,

This TMS forum and reading Sarno, Steve Ozanich, and with the encouragement of hearing success stories helped me recover from many various symptoms in the past 10 years.

I wanted to pass along something for the skeptical minds like me, who had a challenge jumping in with both feet.

I told myself, with every symptom: "I am 100% willing to believe that this is psychological."

If I tried "I believe 100% in TMS" my mind would argue with me. But, my mind accepted that I was "Willing" to believe. And, that made all the difference. It loosened up my qrasping nature to be "willing" to look at it all with curiosity.

I know it's words, but the message we send to our brain is everything.

    thanks for this.

A kind of second-order, "piggybacking" belief: an openness, a curiosity. Just as one can be afraid of fear itself, one can believe in belief. (If I'm following you accurately!)

Couldn't agree more! Self-talk is powerful, as is the words you use.
