I have quite a bit of acceptance of the TMS diagnosis. Thankfully, since accepting this diagnosis, my sciatica and neuropathy in my foot have gone significantly down. I have almost no lower back pain at all, which is amazing considering it was previously pretty substantial and I could barely do anything but lay around just a few short months ago.

A very stubborn symptom that I’m dealing with is my tendinitis and carpal tunnel symptoms in my elbow, wrist, and hand. However, I would say that it has even improved to an extent since I started the TMS journey, though not as much as I would like of course.

My only problem with accepting it fully is that my spine in my neck is sticking out very far. It’s not the typical dowagers hump. My neck hurts often and is stiff. I’ve had CT and MRI and both show nothing except that may be my spine is a bit flat, but the amount that it sticks out has gotten worse since I’ve had any imaging. I’ve actually been MRI from brain to pelvis at this point and everything is normal, except a small bulge in my lower lumbar spine which is not even pressing on the nerve. I try to remind myself often that my scans are all normal and normal abnormalities don’t necessarily mean pain, but because I can feel my neck bone sticking out so far I think it’s hard for me to turn off that little voice that says something might be wrong.

I’m hopeful about the future, and feeling even better.

Hey @Sam222, check out my personal story about neck joints here: https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/day-8.11171/#post-58681 (Day 8)

In another post I made about this I described how a friend at that time insisted I needed an MRI and steroid shots, because I probably had spinal stenosis, which was her so-called diagnosis. TMS, of course. I never got an MRI. I could probably count on one hand the number of times my AO joint has gone slightly out since 2011, but it's always very mild, and it resolves overnight.
