Day 34 Is anything silly? Or frustrating about SEP?

What part of PPD do you think is frustrating or silly? Is there something about the theory you don't accept? What personality trait do you think makes you feel this way?

These questions don’t exactly apply in my case. That’s good news.

Increasingly, I really understand my drivers, who and what can press my buttons, and how my pain developed. For me, the explanations found in Sarno and subsequent works make sense. I guess the exposure and efforts I’ve undertaken, albeit through trial and error, have jelled, including the once-fledgling belief I once held that it was true.

And as a result of pressing forward, I have learned even more from doing the SEP exercises, reading the latest material and through the wisdom of members/moderators who are veterans of this work.

In short, I do not find anything silly or frustrating about TMS/PPD theory. Perhaps this view is helped, rather than hindered, by some of my other personality traits. For example, I am also open-minded, curious, and love antiheroes! (Sarno at one time?) I very well know I’m a perfectionist also, but I have come to recognize and relax this trait. I fit the generic TMS profile as well, but I do believe I’ve achieved a better balance.
