    Hello,

Following a fall while cycling three years ago my leg hurts from above the knee to my hip. My muscle is stiff above the knee. MRI to indicate stage 3 chondropathy. The world has collapsed for me. Physio, doctors, rheumatologist nothing helped. Even the opération did not relieve me. Im embarrassed abou my job im elecrician, running, cycling... Since opération the spécialists tell me that i will no longer have pain persists. Now when i'm sqatting and i get my knee cracks wich terrifies me . Doctors say the crackle is normal. Last MRI indicated chondrapathy bigining. I'desperate . I read the book of DR SARNO. There are no TMS spécialists in my contry. I live in France and i speak english very badly (thank you google translate). What do you think of my problem and how do i get out of it. Thank you. Franck.

    Hello Borrel:
When you read Dr. Sarno you will see TMS -the T is for tension. Tightness of body and of mind. Fear fuels the pain.
Think of when at other times your muscles have been tight? Have you had so much fear with tight muscles before?
Also when you read Dr. Sarno look at the personalities he describes. See any similarities within you. This may help you realize you may have TMS because you are so much like people Dr. Sarno treated.
Another TMS Dr. Named Dr. Hanscom has studied inflammation and says it is directly related to our elevated stress, our worry.
Look closely at your book. See what Dr. Sarno recommends you do to help yourself (the journaling) and begin.

    hello cactus flower,

thank you for taking your time to write to me. I have already read Dr. Sarno's book, he describes people suffering from tms as anxious, perfectionists and wanting to please others, that's a bit me. Then it's not the tense muscles that scare me but what they prevent me from doing in my life. I had started journaling but I will continue this. Also, I'm going to re-read the book. Thank you again for your answer. Cordially
