Day 5 Let's play some guitar...

    Think of some activities you really enjoy doing. If you could do one of these activities without feeling stressed out, without having anxiety, and without worrying about your family, kids, job, etc. how would that feel? Why do you not do this activity more often? What steps could you take to do this activity stress free and without worrying about other things? Do this activity this week

    I would really enjoy playing more music on the guitar or on the piano and singing with it. It would feel relieving to be able to do that without anxiety. I often don't do this activity because I feel like there is something more important (usually organizing or cleaning) that has to happen before I can relax or before I feel like I deserve or have permission to do something fun for myself. To try to make this activity stress-free I think I would need to disassemble that rule for myself and maybe say "I'm doing this because I deserve to enjoy things because I love doing them". I can do daily tasks AND enjoy myself in the same day.
