I've suppressed some big shit and it feels uncomfortable just creating the lists.... and my sensitivity to the pain is shooting up.....I've got to this point before and then burrow away and distract myself. A full on mindbody sensitisation week. Searching for neuro clearance is also emotionally and physically exhausting but a necessary step in the TMS belief equation.

But i know it's time. I want to be well. It's the only path.

I've not had one major trauma growing up. But life is painful and I've always been highly sensitive. I just want people to be happy and to be loved.

I just feel sad. And that's OK.

    I love this community.

    Hey Charlie,

Alan Gordon talks about how some folks are just born more sensitive than others and that things others wouldn't classify as traumatic affect particularly sensitive people more strongly.

They did a study (I just realized I'm quickly becoming the "they did a study" girl), where they showed people brutal images and their bodies reacted exactly the same as the people who were exposed to the actual trauma (increased heart rate, sweating, dilated pupils etc.) because the truth is that our primal brains really can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality sometimes, and so our bodies react to protect us (run! fight! hide!) from the perceived danger.

It's why there's such a high burn out rate for people who do image moderation for social media sites. Even though the images isn't right there, it still affects people so deeply they have to quit their jobs.

Our bodies/brains are just more sensitive. Whether you've endured trauma or not (we all have to some extent!), your brain thinks it has and is reacting accordingly, because it's trying to keep you safe!

But guess what? People are happy and loved all the time, all around us, statistically speaking, even more so than people are being hurt. We are the most cooperative species to ever walk the earth. And you are cherished here.

But it's totally ok to feel sad when we human beings aren't being kind or cooperative.

What I'm trying to say is feel them feelings, and I promise I will too, and together we can beat this thing. :)
