    Hi all
Have been struggling with pain for the last 2.5 years. Visited more than 15 doctors from gp to ortho to neuro to ayurveda to gyn. So many diagnoses too - perimenopause, disc bulge, stenosis, fibro, ra. Tired of the alphabet soup. Physio definitely helps in the short term, but hoping to use the techniques here to go pain free longer term, and get back to the happy active dancer trekker that i was ! Any tips and recos always welcome, thank you for accepting me on this forum !

Welcome to the forum and Day 1 of the program, @Tafuting!

These are my basics for "doing the work" whether its the SEP or any other program:
    1. be aware that our perfectly normal TMS brain mechanism is hard-wired by evolution to be fearful and negative and focused only on pure life-or-death survival. It does not work very well in the modern world, and quality of life is not on its agenda! It will try to trick you into giving up. Check in with us if you find yourself having doubts and we will help.
    2. Do the exercises with emotional vulnerability (scary! your brain will resist) and relentless self-honesty.
    3. Pay attention to pressure and urgency. These are counter-productive to healing. IOW, don't rush it (faster is NOT better). It will take what it takes for your personal journey.
    4. Always practice kindness and patience for yourself. You need to love yourself enough to know in your heart that you deserve to recover. You do, and you will!

    Keep us posted!
