At this point in the program the pain is down to a 2 out of 10. I was working too hard. I had to do it perfectly. I can sleep again without my neck driving me crazy. I still fear that the severe pain will return and cripple me again. Its like the sword of sword of Damocles hanging over my head.

That's encouraging that your pain is down! I can relate to working too hard. On Day 7 I took a break... and then I just stopped for a bit. It's all flared up and I'm overwhelmed. I think your analogy is accurate, like a sword just dangling above. Keep going and just "float" past the symptoms. Claire Weeke's books are helpful in how to do that. You're doing great!

    Good advice from @Mardi327!

Just remind yourself that doing this work is not linear, it doesn't follow a timeline, and also that your primitive TMS brain is not only very skilled at creating and maintaining fear, but it's had many years of experience doing so. It takes more than a few months to unwind all that.

I have learned to see the fear thoughts. Meditation helped a lot. They keep coming all day. I know they are just thoughts, but there are a lot of them. Yes, my tms brain is very skilled.

My TMS brain also gets a lot of outside help. Every day the media is sending us messages that there is a physical problem they can fix if we buy their pills or get some gunk injected in our joints. It’s all kind of crazy. I limit my screen time now.

Don't forget about the growing dysfunction of the world in general - I believe we are all experiencing an existential crisis of major proportions. Uncertainty combined with lack of control. It's actually no wonder that we are all struggling. Acknowledging that is just another tool in our TMS survival kit.
