Pain worsening in the evening

Has anyone dealt with TMS pain manifesting at the same time every day?

I get neck & shoulder pain, headaches, nausea, dry mouth and a general feeling of sickness ( flu- like) almost like clockwork every day around 5pm, which lasts until 9pm or so then eases off. I don’t work a 9-5 job or have any kind of schedule that would trigger it as far as I can tell.

I’m new to this forum and it has been a life saver of support to discover it! I used to have back pain, then resolved it with exercises and core strengthening and the damn symptoms all went to my neck. I spent thousands of dollars trying to cure it and saw every specialist in my city, then read Dr Sarnos book and the neck pain went away halfway through my first reading (ironically, reading / sitting in bed used to be a trigger for the neck pain).

Unfortunately the pain has re-surfaced and added a nausea/hot feeling of sickness and it is usually the same time every day. It’s quite unpleasant but I have hope to conquer it this time since I know it’s TMS. Any insights are appreciated.

Your evening pattern is very common with Us. I usually only noticed symptoms when I got up in the morning or tried to relax at night. When I was busy doing stuff I didn't have as much attention to give them... at first.

Therein lies the proof that it isn't structural...that's 100% pavlovian conditioning!

Just get out the book and read again with an open mind about the things you are 'OK' with in your life maybe not being as 'OK' as you think they are. That's what I do whenever I get a 'tickle' of TMS. It's just time for a tune-up...no big deal... it'll go away just as surely as your first symptoms did.

    Happens to all of us

    peace
