    Hello All,

Hope you had a good Christmas!

I'm back again after being symptom free for a long time. I've been practicing Stoicism which seems to have some crossovers with the Mindbody way of thinking which I think has helped.

However, with this stressful period that is Christmas, I've had a flare up, just waiting for a doctors appointment to rule anything nasty out.

My symptoms this time around are:

    • lower back pain
    • pain in groin
    • pelvic pain
    • the pain in groin area seems to move around and change, sometimes stabbing, mostly dull ache, sometimes pins and needles feeling, its inconsistent.
    • inconsistent pain in scrotum, moves around again.
    • None of this feels particularly sore when touching those areas, its odd.
This all came about after speaking to a neighbour who is unfortunately suffering with Prostate cancer, I remember after speaking to him I was thinking about how awful it was and how I would feel about it. Got in the car and went to the beach on Christmas day with the family, then it all kicked in. So I'm convinced my brain has latched on to this and created this inconsistent symptoms.

As we all do I went ahead and google the symptoms which was a bad idea and made the fear worse.

I have been able to have some relief somatic tracking whilst lying in bed and doing some Yoga. I'm pretty sure its TMS once again.

I suppose I made this post to right it down and somewhat vent!

Have a good New Year everyone.

The forum as journaling - it's one of the many reasons to post here - and to keep us posted, @BagelSchnitzel!

My much older (86) half-sister is denying the many sources of stress that she is currently under and is baffled by a sudden spike in her A-fib symptoms, including alarming tachycardia and BP spikes just under 200. It's all very scary, but "they" can't figure out any obvious reason so all they're doing is trying a bunch of different drugs and performing all the tests - which in itself is very stressful. At 86, she's pretty fit and leads a healthy lifestyle, but she's one of these proactive types who denies having any stress. I can see plenty of reasons for stress - including the obvious one which is the reality of being 86 and how she is running out of time to properly plan for it while she still can. When I repeated the "I don't have any stress" assertion to her sons, they both rolled their eyes.

But the reason I bring this up is that while I was dealing with holiday activities and worrying about her, I suddenly realized that I had also started worrying and focusing, just a little bit, but of course mindlessly, on every little chest or back twinge and sensation... so I've been talking myself down a fair amount!

So got back from the Doctors.

I was trying to explain TMS/Neuroplastic pain but he was of the old school way of operating and was having none of it. I mentioned it's probably stress related and he said he didn't think so.

Checked urine which was fine and then did some checks on my lower back as that's the one constant pain.

He wasn't really sure and said see how it goes for a few weeks and referred me to physio, I did mention my fears over Prostate cancer etc but he dismissed them.

All in all, not very helpful.

I'm going the full TMS route now to see if it was as I suspect. There have been signs although I'm unfamiliar with this kind of issue, if it were a prostate issue, or peundial nerve problem, would the pain keep chaging it's type and move around the whole groin area? Be interested in some insight from others that have had pelvic pain.
