Hey everyone - as @Forest researches and plans for a needed upgrade to the software and server for the Forum and the Wiki, we may continue to experience slowdowns and glitches as we experienced some months ago, and which happened again today.

If you notice a significant slowdown in page loading, you can help out by reporting the issue before it gets too bad. Before reporting, it's helpful to first do the following:
    1. check other web sites that you use, just in case it's you, not us ;)
    And,
    2. Try our forum pages with a different browser or device, to make sure the slow behavior is the same in different environments.
    Also,
    3. Check the main wiki page (tmswiki.org) which, if the server is glitching, will often block pages from loading with an https security warning, or a "this page has been deleted" redirect (dating from 2013 and referencing Forest).

If you are reasonably convinced we've got a problem, my experience is that it's not going to magically fix itself, but will only get worse until the site is unusable. Please send me a direct message ("Private Conversation") for which I will receive an email notification. If your subject line is "Forum seems slow!" it will show up in the email. I'm more likely to check my email than to log on to the forum, and with that title I'll at least know there is an urgent need to log in, confirm it for myself, and then contact Forest.

You can also create a thread in either the General or the About This Site subforums to alert others that someone has noticed a possible problem and is contacting admin.

We're hoping for significant improvements and stability in 2026. In the meantime, Thank You for being part of and watching out for our community!

    ~Jan
