    Catchy title, huh?

    There’s a reason for it.

    The Day 19 question is to share if I’ve done anything since starting the program that I am proud of.

    Enter Proud Flesh which generally means a raised scar. A scar, of course covers a wound. So…I am proud (not really the right word)…let’s say relieved, to have uncovered my wounds. Yesterday was show and tell day. A pivotal step in my recovery. All gleaned from my journaling which is becoming my hot water bottle in times of stress.

    You are an inspiration on doing the SEP! (I never finished it.) but I’m thinking of doing it because of you!

    Clutching the area of my heart, I’m feeling happiness to inspire you back to SEP with renewed determination!

    Given our backgrounds, I’m pretty sure that if you’re brutally forthcoming, journal like a fiend, spill your guts page after page religiously, that you’ll begin to heal.

    It’s a very big piece for me. You must finish it this time. As instructed, don’t rush. I’ve put it off a day or two to recover from a particularly painful session. But I begin again. It’s supposed to be hard. It’s supposed to emotionally hurt. It’s not one bit easy, but for me, it’s working. You need this dear one!

    I will do it! Thank you so much for your encouragement. it’s wonderful to hear that it’s working for you! I was kind of thinking that I might not need it because of all the psychotherapy I recently had, But I know that’s just my TMS brain trying to avoid it. I think I recall that @Cactusflower did the course twice and that had a big impression on me. I don’t know if you know her story, but she was bedridden at one point and now has a pretty normal life. She’s a great example. I like to copy her whenever I can. And now I will copy you too!

    @Thank-you @Diana-M !
    Yes I did the SEP twice, Alan Gordon’s program too. Valuable skills to learn in each program!

    Diana-M,
    I’ve also been in therapy for over a year this time and I’ve found that SEP and therapy complement and support one another as well each brings new realizations into the mix. They go at it a bit
    differently but with a common goal. We need all the help we can get and I find more credibility in the truths of one, when reinforced by the other. Thanks for pointing me to Cactusflower!
