I'm curious for what you people are aiming for this year. Of course getting rid of TMS would be top priority, but I don't mean to put pressure on myself or try to get shortcuts. I'm talking more about the journey than the arrival. For me it is:

    - journaling for real
    - getting in touch with my buried sadness and processing it
    - observe and distance better from my ego and parts easily controlled by TMS (inner critic, sabotaging part etc.)
    - keep expanding my physical activities time (surfskating, cycling, canoeing and volleyball)
    - accepting better what's happening, because to be honest, it's far from being the end of the world

    I love this thread, @feduccini!

I used a gratitude app on my phone and get a prompt everyday. Yesterday's prompt asked which habits do you want to develop this year. Here's what I put down:

    - Being kinder and more compassionate with myself
    - Less focus on perfection and control; more on having fun and making a mess
    - Develop new hobbies. Last year I learned how to book bind (and bound 4 books! sorry I'm bragging ;). It way out of my comfort zone but I realized how soothing and relaxing it is. Finding new hobbies is pretty cool.

P.S. Everytime I see your profile picture it brings a smile to my face. I love dogs.

My family's dogs have been such an important component in my recovery. It just felt right to choose a dog portrait :)

I agree my friend. Dogs can teach us a lot too. Here's a pic of one of my furbabies.

Love this thread! Love your goals @feduccini and @HealingMe !

My goal is to continue with internal TMS work, but to work a lot harder to build up my muscles and increase my balance. Weakness is restricting me, and I’m going to try and improve it. Muscles obey the laws of nature, even if my TMS brain doesn’t always cooperate. Also, to break out of the house. It’s so easy to default to being home.
