Day 3 When was the last time you exercised...?

Quick prefix I have pain top on top of my foot when wearing most shoes, this pain started after I took up running a couple of years ago. It feels like laces are too tight but they literally can't be any looser or shoe would fall off!

Q: When was the last time you exercised or did another physical activity?
A: I exercise quite regularly (cardio and weights) but I haven't really done any running at all since I started to get pain on top of my foot. Maybe I need to try a bit of running and see if that helps get over the fear of running (I guess have a fear it will make my foot pain worse!)

    2. What was this activity? Cardio and weights. Sometimes the top of foot hurts doing exercise in a certain pair of shoes, then another day it seems fine. As soon as I think oh it's not hurting, then it seems to hurt (classic TMS?)

    3. How did it make you feel physically and emotionally? When I used to do running, I would feel great afterwards. Other exercise makes me feel good, but I never quite get my heart rate up like I used to do with running.

    4. If it is has been a while since you last exercised, why? Normal exercise not applicable. Running - scared of foot pain getting worse.

Thanks for posting, Logan! I was about to do my day 3 entry and read yours in advance, lol. I'm primarily dealing with hand/arm issues currently, but I've dealt with foot pain as a runner before (especially this past year), so I can identify with that frustration. I hope you are able to keep making progress - fear has been tricky for me, but I think it's almost always yielded a positive outcome if I can quiet my brain enough to push on with activities that bring me joy.
