You may have struggled with crazy pain for many years. You may be at your wit's end. However, there is hope. We know this because the authors of this wiki struggled with chronic pain for many years, and that is exactly how several of us felt. Of course, we can't diagnose you and everyone is different, but for us, the solution didn't involve surgery, needles, or expensive drugs.

To learn more about TMS visit an An Introduction to TMS or watch the following 20/20 segment on TMS, narrated by John Stossel, who credits this approach with healing his terrible back pain.

If you think that you might have TMS/PPD, and you're wondering what to do next be sure to visit our So You Think You Might Have TMS page.

The PPD/TMS Peer Network (PTPN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2009. We seek to relieve suffering from Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS) by raising awareness, providing information based on scientific evidence, facilitating expression of a wide variety of perspectives, and giving individual support to people with TMS. All of the members of our organization suffered from TMS/PPD at some point in our lives. Like many others, we suffered from terrible pain and other symptoms for many years before learning about this approach. This wiki was the first project of our organization. Other projects and programs include our weekly drop-in chat, TMS Call-in discussion group, the Thank you, Dr. Sarno project, TMS Webinars, and Peer Supervision Teleconferences. We make no money off this website and have no financial ties to any of the medical or mental health practitioners we discuss on this site. Further, all TMS/PPD professionals on the site must adhere to our very stringent Conflict of Interest Policy.
