Structured Educational Program
The first step in recovering from TMS involves acquiring knowledge and learning about this condition. But what does one do with that knowledge? A common stumbling block for people is to figure out how to take this knowledge and put it to work. This is what the Structured Educational Program is designed to do. The Structured Educational Program is a six week program designed by people who have or have had TMS. The steps outlined throughout this program are the tools and techniques the TMS community used in order to get better. Who better to tell you how to get better than the people who have been there? It is a multifaceted approach involving journaling and meditation exercises, along with numerous educational assignments which are designed to inform the participant about TMS and treatment methods.
Note: We are currently reformatting this program to better incorporate the TMS Recovery Program recently donated by Alan Gordon, LCSW. If you have already started the structured educational program, you may begin to see some references to the recovery program. We suggest you visit and familiarize yourself with the full recovery program. As the structured educational program is being worked on, please feel free to share your thoughts and recommendations in the Structured Educational Program subforum.
