Will Baum
Will Baum is a licensed clinical social worker who practices in Los Angeles. He has a variety of focuses including not only chronic pain and stress illnesses, but also anxiety, depression, relationships/family, and addiction. Baum also utilized several different approaches including psychodynamic talk therapy which seeks to help the client understand long-standing issues and conflicts. He also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is effective in quickly reducing high levels of anxiety and depression (Source).

Along with practicing therapy, Will Baum has also written numerous articles and blog posts for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today. Several of these articles have focused on TMS including one entitled “Dealing with Chronic Pain” where Baum interviewed fellow TMS therapist Alan Gordon, LCSW, and discussed the relationship between chronic pain and emotions, and what this relationship means in terms of treatment. Baum also wrote “Mind-Body MD Looks for Emotion Behind Chronic Pain” for Psychology Today, in which he interviews TMS physician David Schechter, MD. One more of Baum's articles appeared in Where the Client Is, which discusses how therapists treat TMS patients. The article is called “Treating Chronic Pain”, and includes an interview with TMS therapist Frances Sommer Anderson, PhD, SEP. All in all Will Baum's journalistic work has helped in promoting TMS awareness and exploring the different approaches and techniques utilized by some of the leading practitioners in the field.
