  • My Story

I've experienced generalized and social anxiety since I was 11 or 12. I somehow managed these things throughout my life until the Spring of 2009, when seemingly out of the blue I had a panic attack. I experienced months of seemingly constant attacks. They abated a little over time, I went back to work, and then just seemed to deal with the severe anxiety at remained. Then in 2011, the panic attacks returned only. Ten times worse than the first time. I have been stuck in severe anxiety and panic since that time. I have worked with therapists, taken medications, read dozens of books, tried a variety of treatments methods. Some were verey helpful (neurofeedback, massage), but we're not sustainable financially and, do not get at the subconscious. I meditate, I do therapy, I have good sleep hygiene, I don't drink caffeine, or pop. I try to watch my sugar intake. I'm just stuck. Currently re-reading Claire Weeks' Hope and Help for your Nerves. Praying always for a miracle. ;)
