My Story
For starters...
I'm having problems with my arms for over 10 years now.
Sometimes it's "just" pain, at another time it's some kind
of paralysis and weakness.
It has been so bad, I couldn't grab a pencil or a glas, but
that was some years ago, when I moved to a new city and
went to a new school.
Now, after studying mathematics, I'm a programmer, but I had to quit my job two months ago because things turned for the worst. I couldn't type anymore and got diagnosed with tendonitis, something I had 10 years ago as well.
That time it happened when playing tennis and I think
it was an actual injury back then, because I played really long with a new technique, different trainer and growing 14 centimeters a year which put a lot of stress on my tendons.
It should have healed in a reasonable timeframe though.
But it's not only typing now, I get pain with normal housework, handwriting, sports and all kinds of stuff connected to the arms.
Again it didn't get better really with antiinflammatories and cortison. Only massage etc. helped as well as earlier.
I found out about RSI by reading the book "It's not carpal tunnel syndrome" which seemed to me like the holy grail for my problems, because RSI is not known yet in my country and it explained most of my problems.
But I wanted to know more and read Sarno's book about TMS.
I searched the internet and found the wiki and this forum and
am glad to know I'm not alone anymore and can ask questions to get answers from people that actually know what they are talking about.
Update:
I've read many more books about TMS and did the SEP twice,
but I'm still struggling, especially with the computer... - Loading...
