My story starts at the age of six. I had such a fear of going to school that I developed a conversion disorder. I had such severe pain in my legs that I could not go to school in the morning but my pain would usually resolve by the morning. I was taught to "face my fears" by a psychologist and my pain quickly abated. My most recent mindbody experience is with a 3 year history of right upper back pain. I have seen multiple different providers including a back surgeon, a chiropractor, a physical medicine and rehab specialist and most recently a accupuncturist. I was asked to join a local TMS "Meetup" group and there is where I discovered my "cure". My 3 year journey has now just begun. I threw away my prescription for my repeat MRI and canceled my accupuncturist appointment. I have TMS.
