    Hi I was just wondering if Ask a therapist forum is still active? Sorry I'm still trying to navigate myself around and inform myself as new here.
    Thanks to anyone for any feedback.

    Thank you for replying. That's a shame.

    It's very unfortunate that the Ask a TMS Therapist program is still on the wiki and deceptively appears to be active, because none of the therapists has responded since before 2020. I've been lobbying to have the page deactivated because it's frustrating to see people still asking. I see the questions, which are stored in an admin subforum, but the programming on them is different and I can't respond to tell people they are wasting their time.

    The reason I've been given for not deactivating is because the programming represents an enormous investment of time and creative effort.

    In any case, I think that the therapists who initially agreed to do it (for free) became too busy in their own practices and their other mindbody activities which are focused on spreading the word to a wider audience. And I think there is another aspect which might have caused them to lose interest, which is that the vast majority of the questions always were, to be honest, pretty basic and quite repetitive. A minority of questions would be so physically specific that they really required a personal consultation with a TMS doctor. However most of the questions were answered multiple times in the early days of the program, and those are the same types of questions which can easily be answered by plenty of non-professional but experienced people who are active on this forum.

    Yes I understand what you are saying and I completely agree with you. I'm glad it wasn't taken down though as I searched and found answers to some things that interest me and I am sure the same must go for others.
    It is a shame that even once a month if someone would volunteer but as you said everyone is caught up in their own work and this on top would be alot of work.
    Thank you for your thorough reply I appreciate it.

    This is a good point @Betty Boop. Ideally the archive would remain, but the form for submitting new questions would be inactivated, and replaced with an explanation of the history of the program and how to search the archived responses just like you did!

    Oh yes I totally agree with that so it doesn't leave people wandering why no one has replied back.

    @Betty Boop,
    One thing you might like is to use the search engine in the top right corner. I use it liberally. If you try one phrase and don’t find what you’re looking for, just keep trying until you get a thread you that answers your question.

    Thank you @Diana-M I am finding my way around this site and I did use the search engine but you are right I need to tweak on the words to find what I am looking for. I am so glad I found this community.
