Can structural pain move? Or is it always TMS?

In order to kill the doubt, I need to know if there's a structural reason that pain could move from lumbar spine to tailbone/glutes over a period of 4 weeks. It has morphed from a dull achy throb in low back to tingly, pin pricks in my butt. Does arthritis in facet joints EVER act this way, spreading to different area over time? It's making me want to research Piriformis Syndrome!

we aren’t medical professionals so for anyone to give you a definite answer on this is irresponsible.

that said, you’re on a TMS forum, you’re TMS aware, surely have read about symptom imperative. I don’t think anyone could give an answer that would soothe your panicky TMS brain. Funny isn’t it, how you view moving pain as a potential catastrophe rather than the symptom imperative and possible progress that your brain is forced to rethink its strategy. When you’ve lived like we have, all we can see are defeats, rather than the smallest (but still significant) of victories.

oh you can google till the end of the earth whatever syndrome the medical community wants to call a description of symptoms, but will that bring you peace of mind or aid you in your journey? Whether physical or not, panicking and googling symptoms isn’t going to lead anywhere good. Either accept the TMS diagnosis or head to a doctor for a second opinion for peace of mind.

Stay away from a piriformis syndrome chase. It's garbage.
