After months of doing very well since starting the program, my family was hit with mass viruses. I swear we have all been sick since October. I had bad bronchitis and asthma... antibiotics & the worst of all meds: prednisone. It tore up my stomach. However, the GERD/acid reflux symptoms are now lingering a bit too long. My doctor has me on meds while my stomach & esophagus are healing - especially since there is concern that the GERD can aggravate my asthma. However, since I'm concerned that this could just be the TMS finding a new symptom, I'm left wondering if I should quit the meds. Anyone been through something similar?

I haven't had any virus or asthma, but if all the doctors can do for you is prescribe medication and the prednisone
"tore up" your stomach, it does sound like TMS is working on your body. I can't and won't say stop the drugs,
because I'm not a doctor, but I do suggest you try to figure out what repressed emotions you may have that are very likely causing your symptoms.

You may have caught your symptoms from others in the family, or got them from your TMS and they caught them.
Don't quit the medications but ask your doctor that since they don't seem to be helping, can you slow down on them or quit them, then follow his advice. It's never a good idea to quit medication cold-turkey without a doctor's permission because there can be side affects. I did that once and will never do it again.

What TMS program are you in? The Structured Educational Program or Dr. Gordon's TMS Recovery Program?
Both are excellent and have gotten a lot of positive results.

There also are many posts in the General forum and the Success forum that offer great healing advice.
Those by Herbie are always helpful. He's come through a lot of pain and his posts are helping a lot of people
    with their healing.
